On Saturday morning, the 17th Kanonenbahnlauf took place in Lengenfeld u. Stein. After it had rained all Friday, the sun appeared on Saturday, and with temperatures around 20 degrees, it was not too warm for running. Participants in the event organized by the sports club could choose between the 7 km route, the 15 km route, and the half marathon on the Kanonenbahn cycle path. Additionally, there were two student races over 1 km and 2 km. At the starting line, 182 runners and walkers were lined up for the various distances starting at 10:00 AM.
